Christmas by Mrs. Hug

My family celebrates Christmas. It is also my favorite time of year. It is not my favorite because of the gifts, though they are always nice. Christmas is about more than gifts to me. I love being with family and coming together to talk, laugh and best of all- eat! I have a VERY BIG family and we usually get together in New York City at one of my relatives houses. There sometimes is about 30 people all together in one house. Everyone usually brings a dish that they cooked. My Mom and my aunt always make baked macaroni and cheese, which is one of my favorite dishes and they always secretly try to see who makes the best one! Mr. Hug and I both have family that lives far away, so we try to split Christmas and Thanksgiving between New York and Nebraska. This year, I can't fly because the baby will be here soon, so it will be very different for us to spend it alone.
